When working together with our clients, we want to be able to create the very best site for you. We want to spend time getting to know our clients to get a feel for their personalities and a good idea for what they want for their website. We are here to build YOUR site, not our site. We are a resource for design advice and best practices, but ultimately the final decisions are yours.
How We Met
Michelle Hilton and Jill Murphy met at Gwinnett Technical College in the Web Design and Development program pursuing second careers. They decided to start their own business because they knew they wanted to build entire sites and looked forward to working with clients. They wanted the whole website building experience from beginning to end. Both have independent spirits and have run small businesses before. Michelle and Jill’s personalities work well together, although they bring different things to the table. Both enjoy coding, but Michelle is the more analytical of the two, while Jill leans toward design and content writing. You will find when dealing with Dogwood that Jill is more of the talker, but while Michelle is more shy, she is very friendly and easy to work with.
Michelle became interested in web design through blogging and has a successful blog, From Calculus to Cupcakes. She was formerly a calculus teacher in Barrow County.
Jill blogged off and on for years, but really started wanting to learn more about web design when she started working on her church’s website. She took a job at Shiloh High School in Gwinnett County as a clerk, and one of her duties was managing their website. Jill realized then that she needed to do this as a full time career.
Both Michelle and Jill enjoy creating websites and think that they should be beautiful and easy for users to navigate.
